HIGH RESOLUTION SURROUND
PRODUCTION AND LISTENING WORKSHOP
July 21st
Bethesda, Maryland - July 9th, 2004 - Lipinski Sound Corporation with Mytek Digital, invites producers and engineers for a production seminar on high resolution surround PCM and DSD production techniques, and a day of hands-on experiments and listening tests.
The workshop will take place on July 21st in Ocean Way Studio B from 11am until 8pm.
The main room will feature high resolution 5.1 and 6.0 surround, and stereo playback systems built around Lipinski L-505 and L-707 monitors with L-150G subwoofers and Mytek Digital Audio Converters. Producer/engineer and founder of Lipinski Sound, Andrew Lipinski, will share his experiences of using such systems for large 4FS PCM and DSD orchestral productions for SACD release, as well as other well produced SACDs.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own SACD or DVD-A discs.
In the control room, Michal Jurewicz of Mytek Digital will discuss high resolution 2FS and 4FS PCM production methods for SACD and DVD-A release, as well as high speed conversion/processing issues and methods for PCM <> DSD conversion. A separate control room stereo playback system featuring the Lipinski L-707 will be used for monitoring.
